If you're looking for an affordable tripod, your best bet is the Orion Paragon HD-F2. This tripod with integrated pan head is simply the most affordable mounting option available for our smaller binoculars. This is a good-quality tripod that actually extends high enough to make it useful for astronomy - 69.5 inches, to be exact, or 73.25" when used with our L-adapter. Two of its best features are a quick-release mounting shoe for faster setup and a convenient crank-adjustable center column that makes adjusting tripod height while panning around the sky a breeze. Capable of supporting up to the 20x80 LW or our heavier 70mm models. This is our "best value" tripod, and it's the minimum we'd recommend for any serious use.
