With a maximum capacity of 13.3 lbs., the Bogen Manfrotto 055XDB (formerly 3011BN) tripod is capable of providing solid support for giant binoculars, and is an upscale alternative to the Orion Paragon HD-F2. When paired with the Manfrotto 128RC (formely 3130) head, this combination has a rated capacity of 8.9 lbs. and a maximum height of almost 76 inches, making for comfortable astronomical and terrestrial viewing - even near the zenith. The 3011BN/3130 combo is ideal for binoculars up to the Gemini 20x80 LW, Gemini 15x70 WP, or Signature 70mm binoculars.
