The 11x70 LW and 15x70 LW models are excellent all-around binocular that can be hand-held for short periods of time, though a light tripod or lawn chair is definitely recommended for extended observing sessions with the 15x70. Every Garrett Optical binocular must pass a rigorous 14-point inspection that insures a high degree of both optical and mechanical performance, including accurate collimation. Any necessary adjustments are performed by a highly experienced technician on a U.S. Navy Mark V Collimator.
