...this a nice binocular for a modest price, sharp, crisp and clear, well made and finished, what more can one ask for? (click for more).
Simply the most affordable binocular in our lineup. The Gemini® 10x50 LW offers amazing value, with features such as BaK4 prisms and Fully Multi-Coated optics that allow it to compete with models twice its price. This design makes binocular astronomy affordable. It's a great way to build memories under the stars with family and friends. It also is a good choice for a more experienced observer who needs a compact second binocular. An excellent choice for everything from short-range birding to catching more of the action at athletic events.
The lightweight Gemini LW versions provide the most bang-for-the-buck of any binoculars around. Every Gemini big binocular features prisms polished from high-index BaK4 glass and our best-quality Broadband Multi-Coatings on every air-to-glass surface (including the prisms). It's features like these that make Gemini giant binoculars such a great choice for amateur astronomers, hunters, and birders. Binoculars excel at deep space observation - viewing objects such as star clusters and nebulae. Quick looks at solar system objects are also rewarding - Saturn will appear elongated, the moons of Jupiter will be in evidence, and Earth's own moon will reveal intense detail.
The 10x50 LW is a great choice for the beginning astronomer. Its unusually wide 6.6° makes it easy to find objects, and many feel that the 10x50 size offers the best balance between light-gathering power, magnification, and handholdability for binocular astronomy. This binocular is lightweight at just 1 lb., 14.5 oz., and relatively compact at 6.5-inches long. A "slow focus" center focuser (with right diopter) provides for the precise adjustments necessary for astronomical observation. A full 18mm of useable eye relief makes this binocular a great choice for eyeglass wearers. The 6m close focus distance makes for an excellent dual-use binocular that performs well for casual birdingwatching and other daytime uses as well as for astronomy. An ergonomic design make long observing sessions more comfortable. All air-to-glass surfaces are fully multi-coated, for excellent contrast and brightness, and high-index BaK4 prisms offer better illumination than the BK7 prisms normally found in binoculars at this price point. Truly an unprecendented value. Each binocular is covered by our two-year warranty and 30-day return policy.
Every Garrett Optical binocular must pass a rigorous 14-point inspection that insures a high degree of both optical and mechanical performance, including accurate collimation. Any necessary adjustments are performed by a highly experienced technician on a U.S. Navy Mark V Collimator.

Here's what reviewers and customers are saying about Garrett Optical's binoculars:
All arrived safe and sound in this mornings post, finally a 10x50 bino that's nice and light and not a piece of junk, even allowing for the dollar difference and shipping this a nice binocular for a modest price, sharp, crisp and clear, well made and finished, what more can one ask for? Thank you again, Dave, formally from the U.K. now residing in the great white north, Canada.
P.S. - Good packaging job as well....
- David Arbon (Canada)
I
am just writing to thank you. Garrett Optical recently donated a pair
of Gemini 10X50 binoculars to the Las Vegas Astronomical Society for
our annual fund raising raffle. Well, I won the binoculars. They are
great! These binos are surprisingly lightweight and I was impressed by
the lack of chromatic aberration - even when scanning mountain ridges
during daylight viewing. The money we raise from the raffle helps to
support our educational outreach program and our various donations such
as support to our local planetarium and State parks that provide extra
services to support astronomers. Two years ago I purchased your 25X100
IF binos, along with a Unimount and Universal Astronomics tripod. I use
that setup as a "spotter scope" when going deep with my 25" Obsession,
and just for enjoying those great richfield views. Everybody asks where
I bought the setup and I am always happy to tell them "Garrett" and
talk about the great, personal customer service that I received during
the multi-part purchase...
